KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic / Managerial

  • Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with divisional objectives.
  • Provide inputs for workforce planning and manage departmental operating frameworks.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and high-performance standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Market Assessment & Business Development:

    • Monitor market trends, interest rates, and competitor initiatives.
    • Drive proactive business development with new and existing clients.
    • Conduct periodic meetings with key customers and promoters.
  • Revenue Generation:

    • Manage P&L at cluster level and achieve budget targets.
    • Monitor key metrics: Volumes, Productivity, IRR, Cross-sell penetration, delinquency, sanction/disbursal rates.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Hire, train, and retain sales staff.
    • Drive cross-sell initiatives across branches and channels.
    • Acquire new clients, DSTs, DSAs, and vendors.
  • Documentation & Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to guidelines and conduct audits.
    • Maintain quality standards in documentation and client communication.
    • Coordinate with Product, Operations, and Risk teams for compliance.

People Management

  • Define and monitor performance goals.
  • Identify development needs and pursue learning opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Risk & Internal Control

  • Follow risk policies and mitigate operational, regulatory, and audit risks.
  • Execute internal control systems and support audits.

KEY INTERACTIONS

  • Internal:

    Risk Management, Legal, HCM, Product Team.
  • External:

    Clients, Dealers, DSAs, Vendors.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree (mandatory), Master’s preferred.
  • Experience:

    • 15–20 years overall, with 8–10 years in relevant leadership roles in banking.
    • Strong knowledge of Retail Asset Products.
