About the Role:

Senior Liaison Officer

 

Key Responsibilities:

 Act as the primary liaison between the company and various government departments, local authorities, and regulatory agencies. 

 Facilitate the timely acquisition of all necessary project permissions, clearances, and NOCs (e.g., RERA, environmental, municipal, utility, fire, etc.). 

 Liaise with town planning departments, land registration offices, and legal consultants to ensure accurate and compliant documentation. 

 Build and maintain effective professional relationships with government officials, statutory bodies, and other key stakeholders. 

 Monitor and interpret changes in real estate regulations, zoning laws, land acquisition policies, and other relevant government procedures. 

 Proactively prepare and implement a structured liaison process, including timelines, documentation standards, and compliance checklists.

 Maintain up-to-date records of all communications, applications, permits, and approvals for audit and review purposes. 

 Support legal and project teams in addressing land disputes, title issues, or other compliance-related matters. 

 Represent the organization in official meetings, public hearings, and site inspections with authorities when required. 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field. 
  • Minimum

    15 years of experience

    in liaison, government relations, or legal coordination roles. 
  • Proven track record of working closely with

    BMC, Town Planning, Urban Development Authorities, Pollution Boards, and other government bodies

  • Strong

    legal and regulatory knowledge

    applicable to real estate, infrastructure, or urban development projects. 
  • Excellent

    networking and relationship-building skills

    with government officials and legal professionals. 
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive matters discreetly, and drive outcomes under tight timelines. 
  • Fluent in

    English, Hindi, and local languages (e.g., Marathi)

 

Preferred Qualities:

  • Existing strong network of contacts in BMC, DCP office, Collector's office, Urban Development bodies, and other statutory agencies. 
  • Prior experience in

    real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale urban development

    companies. 
  • High degree of integrity, accountability, and professional maturity.
