Designation: Business Head – New Product Development

Experience Required: 5 to 6 years - Extensive practical experience in the research and development of cosmetic products, including formulation, product testing, and manufacturing processes, is critical. Several years of direct experience in the cosmetics, personal care, or beauty industry is necessary.

Qualification:

Skills: Hands-on experience in managing clinical trials, from protocol writing to monitoring, is vital for a role in a clinical trial-focused R&D environment. Strong analytical skills for product testing and data interpretation. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance within the personal care and clinical trial industries.

Business & Leadership Skills: A strong sense of business strategy, market analysis, and client management. Proven ability to lead and manage R&D teams and projects effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients and technical teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

Role Summary: The Business Head – Research & Development will lead the R&D function with a strong focus on innovation, product development, and technical excellence. This role is responsible for managing R&D operations, aligning research initiatives with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Vision
• Define and implement the R&D strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize research projects and commercial initiatives.
• Develop business cases for new product innovations and raw material business expansion.

• R&D Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage R&D team.
• Oversee new product development, formulation improvements, prototyping, and testing.
• Monitor R&D budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
• Ensure IP strategy (patents, trade secrets) aligns with research outputs.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure product readiness and market fit.
• Translate R&D outcomes into commercially viable offerings.
• Facilitate technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

• Compliance and Quality Assurance
• Stay up to date with scientific, technological, and market trends.
• Ensure documentation, certification, and audit-readiness of lab and sales processes
• Ensure all R&D and sales activities comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
