Review radiology reports and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
Ensure coding accuracy based on documentation, payer rules, CMS guidelines, and NCCI edits.
Verify medical necessity requirements and support proper reimbursement.
Work with radiologists, billing teams, and compliance staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding issues.
Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards as defined by the department.
Stay current with coding updates, guideline changes, and payer policy modifications.
Assist in internal audits, denials resolution, and coding quality improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of radiology terminology, imaging procedures, and documentation standards.
Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and coding/encoder tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
