Job Description

Role Overview: As a Business Process Quality professional at Hitachi Energy, your focus will be on developing, identifying, analyzing, and improving existing general business processes. This includes applying process definition, improvement, and design methodologies to enhance quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies, productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing projects and processes independently with limited supervision, coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals, and addressing difficult and complex problems faced in the non-manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: - Support factory teams to ensure full compliance with process parameters - Collaborate with production and QA teams to clarify issues and ensure the correct processes are followed in the factory - Lead/support RCA process, conducting in-depth analysis of NCRs or quality issues - Work with GPG experts to implement the latest process developments and provide feedback on suggestions for process improvements from the factory - Actively participate in process FMEAs - Provide input to operations teams for EOC related to manufacturing capability - Lead/support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity and quality enhancement - Drive reduction in Test Failures & COPQ, improving overall Q&O performance and customer satisfaction - Assist quality teams in process audits, control, supplier process audits, vendor development, and capex project execution - Conduct training for workmen and new engineers, providing relevant training material - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with extensive experience in power transformer industries - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the power transformers industry in quality or manufacturing - Proficient in HVDC manufacturing processes - Strong problem-solving skills - Effective leadership, management, and cross-functional team engagement abilities - Excellent communication skills to work with internal customers at all organizational levels - Proficiency in spoken and written English language Note: Qualified individuals with disabilities can request reasonable accommodations for accessibility assistance during the job application process by completing a general inquiry form on the Hitachi Energy website.
