Role Overview: As a Team Manager at INOPC-Grid Automation in Chennai, you will have a significant role in overseeing your team's operations, resource allocation, and development. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers in the global market. Additionally, you will act as a key support within the organization, handling analysis, risk management, and tender processes. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the success and efficiency of the department. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and allocate resources for medium to long-term projects based on tender forecasts within the global organization. - Monitor and ensure departmental KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, and productivity are met. - Manage financial budgets to achieve set targets. - Review and approve techno-economic offerings for tenders/projects, assessing risks and opportunities. - Conduct regular reviews and follow-ups with project teams, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers. - Recruit personnel according to the headcount budget. - Uphold team accountabilities in compliance with HITACHI Energy Group standards for integrity, health, safety, and compliance. - Drive process improvements as necessary and provide technical support. - Conduct personnel assessments, set targets, and implement development plans. - Identify development areas and implement plans for key competencies and succession planning. - Motivate the team to maintain high energy levels and participate in strategic initiatives. - Work on future scope expansion, competence development, and operational improvements locally. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - 8-15 years of experience in Tendering processes. - Proficiency in Substation Automation, Control & Protection. - Prior experience in engineering and tendering, with the ability to handle tenders and risk assessments effectively. - Familiarity with AI technologies and strong analytical skills. - Good negotiation skills and understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance. - Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. - Fluency in spoken and written English language is necessary.
