Job Description

Role Overview: As a Team Manager at INOPC-Grid Automation in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in managing a team's operation, resource allocation, competence development, and overall people development. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers globally. You will be an integral part of the local management team, providing valuable insights and support within the organization. In addition, you will be involved in analysis, risk management, and handling tenders alongside the tender responsible. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and allocate resources for medium to long-term projects based on tender forecasts within the global organization. - Ensure departmental KPIs are met, such as on-time delivery, quality, and productivity. - Achieve financial budget targets. - Review and approve techno-economic offerings for tenders/projects, assessing risks and opportunities. - Conduct regular reviews and follow-ups with project teams, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers. - Recruit personnel according to the HC budget. - Uphold team accountabilities in compliance with HITACHI Energy Group standards for integrity, health, and safety. - Continuously improve processes when necessary. - Provide technical support and contributions. - Conduct personnel assessments, set targets for direct reports, identify development areas, and implement development plans. - Identify key competence areas and implement succession planning. - Motivate the team to maintain high energy levels consistently. - Participate in strategic initiatives and develop local strategies. - Plan for future scope expansion and competence development. - Drive operational development for the local organization. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - 8-15 years of experience in the Tendering process. - Strong knowledge in Substation Automation, Control, and Protection. - Prior experience in engineering and tendering to manage risk assessments effectively. - Familiarity with AI technologies. - Excellent analytical skills and negotiation abilities. - Sound understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential.,
