Role Overview: Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility located in Chennai and Bangalore, comprising around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts. The focus of the centre is on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products, and technology related to product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. IDC collaborates with Hitachi Energy's R&D and Research centres globally, having secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents over the past 20 years. Key Responsibilities: - Be self-dependent and structured in your work approach. - Drive creative innovation with a strong ownership in IT and OT technologies. - Work effectively in a fuzzy context where different solutions are being evaluated, establishing structure as required. - Possess a deep understanding of agile and lean product development methodologies. - Prior work experience in power systems environment is a plus. - Have a fair understanding of condition monitoring and asset management. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Demonstrate Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors / masters degree in engineering in Computer Science / Information technology / Electronics and communication / M.Sc. in Substation Automation with documented qualification in IT technologies. - Minimum 8 years of experience as a full stack developer with React.js with Redux (JS), Node js, HTLM5, CSS3, SQL/NoSQL. - Proficiency in Agile/Scrum/SAFe Agile methodologies. - Familiarity with Azure DevOps for creating build and deployment pipelines. - Knowledge in application security aspects such as secret management, cryptography, secure communication for HTTP and WebSocket, certificate management, data encryption, etc. - Proficient in microservice-based application design and development using .NET Core, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL DB, Azure Service Bus or equivalent. - Experience in developing secure cloud-native applications using Azure PaaS services such as Azure Function App, AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault etc. - Ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for speed and scalability. - Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and lead a team. - Outstanding communication and collaboration skills. - Proven experience in micro-service architecture development for cloud.
