Quality Control Engineer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control (QC) Engineer to ensure that all products meet our strict quality and safety standards. The QC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring production processes, conducting inspections/tests, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with BIS/ISO standards for cookware and pressure cookers. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Quality Monitoring Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Ensure adherence to quality specifications, gauges, and safety parameters. Monitor assembly lines for compliance with SOPs. Testing & Inspection Conduct functional and safety tests on pressure cookers (e.g., leakage, pressure endurance, weight, finish, and coating). Use measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, hardness testers, etc. Maintain test records and prepare quality reports. Process Control & Improvement Identify quality issues and coordinate with production to resolve root causes. Suggest process improvements to reduce defects and enhance product reliability. Support implementation of Kaizen, 5S, and Lean practices in the factory. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, and internal quality standards. Maintain inspection records, checklists, and defect logs. Support audits (internal, third-party, and certification). Coordination & Training Work closely with production, R&D, and packaging teams. Train operators and helpers on quality awareness and inspection methods. Key Requirements Diploma / ITI/ Production / Industrial Engineering. 1–4 years of experience in quality control/assurance in manufacturing (appliances, cookware, or similar). Knowledge of BIS standards for pressure cookers and cookware is an added advantage. Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and test procedures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to product safety.
