Quality Control Engineer

Position SummaryDivine Gears is looking for a dedicated Quality Control Engineer to ensure that all gears and precision components meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, measurement tools, gear inspection methods, and ISO quality systems. Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & Quality AssuranceConduct in-process, final, and incoming inspections of gears, shafts, and machined components. Measure components using precision instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.). Inspect gear parameters such as backlash, runout, lead, profile, hardness, and surface finish (as applicable). Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test results. Documentation & ReportingPrepare QC reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action documents. Maintain calibration records of all measuring instruments. Ensure documentation compliance with ISO / company standards. Process ImprovementIdentify quality defects and coordinate with production teams to analyze root causes. Suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to avoid recurring issues. Support implementation of continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, SPC, etc.). Standards & ComplianceEnsure products meet required specifications, tolerance limits, and industry standards. Follow company quality procedures and support audits (internal/external). Monitor adherence to proper machining and heat-treatment processes. Coordination & CollaborationWork closely with production, design, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues. Communicate product quality concerns to supervisors and management. Support customer inspections and provide quality documentation when required.
