Quality Control Engineer

• A QC (Quality Control) Engineer ensures products and processes meet standards by developing quality systems, inspecting materials/processes, identifying defects, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions, working across design, production, and final delivery stages to guarantee compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Key duties include performing tests (calipers, gauges), reviewing specs, training teams, and documenting reports, requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus knowledge of standards like {!nav}ISO 9001.
• Key Responsibilities
• Develop & Implement: Create and enforce quality standards, control systems, and inspection plans (ITPs).
• Inspect & Test: Monitor production, test materials/equipment, and measure products using tools like calipers, gauges, or specialized software.
• Identify & Resolve: Detect faults, track non-conformances (NCRs), and troubleshoot production/product issues.
• Document & Report: Prepare quality reports, maintain records, and review documentation for compliance.
• Collaborate: Work with operations, managers, and contractors to implement improvements and resolve quality concerns.
• Train: Provide training to site personnel on quality best practices.
• Essential Skills & Qualifications
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective technical writing and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
• Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) if relevant to the industry.
• Relevant engineering degree and prior QC experience. Where They Work (Examples)
