Position Details

  • Role: Quality Control Engineer
  • Department: Quality
  • Employment Type: Full-time (6 days working per week)
  • Location: Alwar, Rajasthan

Key Responsibilities

Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

  • Inspect and verify raw materials and components (compressors, PCBs, condensers, coils, motors, plastic parts).
  • Review supplier quality certificates and ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) in case of non-conformities.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

  • Monitor assembly operations (indoor/outdoor unit assembly, brazing, welding, wiring, refrigerant charging).
  • Perform in-line quality checks – leak tests, torque verification, fan balancing, airflow rate, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Conduct line audits and share improvement feedback with production teams.

Outgoing Quality Control (OQC)

  • Conduct final inspection and functional testing (cooling performance, noise level, insulation resistance, refrigerant pressure).
  • Verify visual appearance, labeling, and packaging quality.
  • Approve finished batches for dispatch after confirming all parameters meet quality standards.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain inspection records, defect logs, and non-conformance reports.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
  • Support ISO, BIS, and internal audits with required data and documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of AC/HVAC systems and testing standards.
  • Hands-on experience with quality instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, leakage tester, multimeter, etc.).
  • Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, Pareto Analysis, and SPC.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in Quality Control / Quality Assurance (preferably in AC, HVAC, or home appliance manufacturing).

  • Reduced rejection rate (IQC/IPQC/OQC)
  • Customer complaint rate & resolution time
  • CAPA closure effectiveness
  • Process compliance and audit score
  • Continuous improvement project completion rate

Additional Information

  • Salary: As per industry standards / Based on interview performance
  • Work Schedule: 6 days per week (Monday–Saturday)
  • Location: Alwar, Rajasthan
