QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Job Summary

The Quality Specialist will support to manage customer inspection line up, inspection activities, and documentation for Pump inspection & testing as per approved QAP.Key responsibilities include supplier audits, review and generation of inspection test plans (ITPs), coordination with Third-Party Inspectors (TPI), Performing NDT on pump critical parts and final QA documentation submission for customer approval. The position requires a strong engineering background with technical knowledge of pump systems and hazardous area equipment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Maintain and update controlled documents, including SOPs, work instructions, inspection protocols, and training materials.
• Ensure records are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory or organizational requirements.
• Monitor product and process quality through inspection, testing, and data analysis.
• Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Line up customer & supplier inspection with coordination with approved TPI.
• Carryout the NDT as per requirement.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive supplier development.
• Evaluate incoming supplier documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Ensure that material certifications, inspection reports, and test data.
• Develop and maintain project-specific quality documents such as Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), traceability matrices, and validation protocols.
• Ensure timely delivery and approval of quality documentation in alignment with project milestones and customer expectations.
• Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparing for external audits and facilitate timely closure of findings and non-conformances.
• Customer Inspection line up, timely submission of documents to customer, MRB preparation & TPI inspection call log & coordination.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 
  Proficient in English language – both written and verbal. Excellent communicator to bring common purpose to tasks and strategies (internal – external)
• Competence in Microsoft Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint are prerequisites
• Technical ability to learn and understand proprietary sizing & selection of company software
• Organized, be able to manage multiple tasks professionally
• Good time management, sets and meets deadlines and assigned objectives.
• Understanding of engineering principles related to designated business unit, especially about our API Pump product line
• Ability to read, interpret and accurately respond to technical specifications related to buyouts components, cost considerations, and design requirements
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal personnel
• Understands ownership and accountability of assignments
• A team player with ability to interface with multiple functions - Operations, Finance, Engineering, Projects, Sales
• Solid ability to learn products capabilities and limitations
• Understanding of engineering principles related to Pump process and mechanical design of pressure vessels

Mandatory Education and Experience

• 
  B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in regular course from recognized Institute/University in India.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
• Strong background in implementing and overseeing QMS frameworks in line with standards such as ISO 9001, or industry-specific standards
• Direct responsibility for generating and managing project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), validation protocols, and traceability documentation
• Able to collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align documentation with project milestones and customer requirements
• Mandatory to have Excellent communication and negotiation skill
