Department: Quality Assurance / Product DevelopmentJob Summary:As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing test cases, identifying bugs, reviewing relevant code changes, performing both manual and automated testing, and ensuring that the final product meets business requirements and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and project objectives to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and cross-browser/device testing for both client projects and internal SaaS platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies using tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and designers to ensure proper resolution of issues.
  • Review basic code commits or pull requests (PRs) for understanding logic, identifying test gaps, and ensuring quality before deployment.
  • Execute manual test cases and scripts, and when applicable, use automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cypress).
  • Participate in requirement and design review meetings to provide feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Conduct sanity and smoke testing during deployment cycles.
  • Perform backend/API testing and validate data consistency when needed.
  • Prepare test summary reports, defect metrics, and release sign-off documents.
  • Suggest process improvements and assist in building or enhancing testing frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
  • Good knowledge of testing web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, JMeter, Postman, etc.) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of code logic and ability to review source code or backend logic.
  • Experience in API testing and working with databases (SQL).
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows (e.g., GitHub or GitLab).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have:

  • Ability to write or understand unit/integration test scripts.
  • Knowledge of performance/load testing tools.
