Quality Assurance Manager

Purpose of the Position

1. To coordinate and carry out inward inspection of casting & forgings and posted in

system

2. Ensure the sub contracted items inspection & post in system

3. Ensure TPI for all machining supplier and coordinate to clear the items as per

purchase order

4. Organise for sample & pattern inspection based on purchase requirement

5. Organise Notified body for forging inspection & coordinate for mechanical testing and

getting EN 3.2 certificates for PED orders

Major Responsibilities

1. Responsible for Quality assurance activities related to inward inspection of casting, forging, Sub contracted machined items, bought out items, gear boxes, Actuators.

2. Ensuring Quality & Certificate requirements of all in- coming materials like castings, Forgings, bought out components and inspection report for sub-contracted machined components.

3. Organise & carry out sample inspection of casting & forging for the new development items

4. Organising a Notified body for witnessing the forging & test bar and arranging for machining, carry out mechanical test and getting .3.2 certification for forgings in order to meet PED requirements for CE marking valves.

5. Organise TPI for machining components inspection and clearing the items based on TPI report on daily basis.

6. Plan & organise the yearly SQIP audit plan and circulate to all buyers

7. Ensure to carry out audit as per plan and report submission & getting CAPA from supplier

8. Collect & sending the monthly Rework & rejection data about casting & forging and circulate to all concern

9. Carrying out Internal Audits on QMS/EMS/OHSAS as per audit schedule and as a part of internal audit and report the findings to auditee & MRR.

10. Collect the monthly rework & rejection data about supplier issues and inform to concern buyer and supplier, getting the corrective action and ensure the implementation.

11. Team lead for SAP implementation and solving SAP related issues. Monitoring of X2- notification for closure. QM views up dating after release of new item codes.

12. Prepare QIP for inward inspection of casting & forgings, inspection of machining items.

13. Collect & ensure all documents receiving to MTC portal and store in common folder for retrieval by final inspection team to prepare the quality dossier enable to dispatch the valve.

Authorities:

Visit & educate the casting & forging supplier for quality requirements to ensure the visual Inspection, surface quality and standard requirements with support of MIP and customer specified requirements.

Visit & educate the machining supplier to meet drawing requirements · Review & verification of MIP as per ASTM, IBR, EN & customer specified requirements · Review & verification of NDT procedure & NDT process

Carry out audit for traded valve supplier & new supplier and provide feedback to purchase based on audit findings.

Review and Approval of NDT and Dimension Reports. Accountabilities: · Clearing of inward items (like: casting, forging, machined items & bought out items) with in three days after ensure the required documents

Ensure & Completion of yearly SQIP audit plan and ensure the report submission and getting corrective actions for audit findings.

Collect & reporting of X2 notification month wise and inform to buyer/ supplier and getting corrective action related to In-ward & process inspection issues

Organise for Inspection of sample casting, forgings & new pattern based on purchase requirements

Preparation of QIP for inward inspection items

Requirement profile

Ø Formal education : DME/ BE

Ø Professional experience (in years) : 15 to 20 years/ 10 to15 years

- Knowledge on PED /IBR requirements

- Knowledge on ISO 9001/ 14001/45001 & Auditing skills

- Product & Process knowledge about valves

- NDT level II qualification in RT, MT, UT, PT & LT
