Role Description As a Tool Room Incharge, you will oversee daily operations of the tool room, including maintenance, repair, and management of tools and dies. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and involves supervising the team, planning operations, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of tools to support production schedules. You will actively monitor and improve tool room processes to maintain efficiency and uphold quality standards. Job Summary: We're seeking a Quality Head to lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Control functions at our aluminium extrusion factory. You'll ensure compliance with international standards, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high-quality products for automotive, heat sinks, architectural, and engineering sectors. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Management System: - Develop, implement, and maintain QMS as per ISO 9001-2015,IATF standards. - Conduct internal audits and manage external audits for certifications. 2. Process Control & Improvement: - Oversee in-process quality checks, raw material inspection, and final product inspection. - Lead root cause analysis for defects and drive corrective/preventive actions. - Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvements. 3. Customer Satisfaction: - Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure product quality meets expectations. - Address customer complaints, provide technical support, and ensure timely resolution. 4. Team Management: - Lead the quality team, provide training, set objectives, and monitor performance. - Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement. 5.Compliance & Documentation: - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations. - Maintain quality records, certifications, and documentation. Requirements: Experience: 10-15 years in quality management, preferably 5 years minimum in aluminium extrusion or a similar industry. Skills: - Proven expertise in QMS, internal audits, and quality certifications ISO 9001-2015,IATF standards. - Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes and testing methods. - Proficiency in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and quality tools (SPC, FMEA, APQP). - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy with certifications like AS9100, IAPMO, ISO 9001, Six Sigma preferred.
