Lead QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in manual and automated software testing, with a proven track record of leading QA initiatives.

This role involves guiding the QA process, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage test cases, test plans, and testing strategies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
• Lead defect identification, reporting, and tracking processes, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the development team.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the software is designed with testing in mind and support the development of testable code.
• Communicate test results, progress, and quality metrics to stakeholders and management.
• Participate in requirements gathering, and design reviews, and provide QA insights to improve product quality from the start.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and tools to enhance team efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing.
• Oversee and, if needed, contribute to the automation of test scripts to enhance the QA process.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Proficiency in various testing techniques, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e. g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
• Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
