About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished QA Lead with a strong background in the Banking Domain (or Fintech with deep banking knowledge) to lead our Quality Assurance efforts. With 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the end-to-end QA process across multiple banking applications. You will manage a team of QA engineers, drive test strategy, champion automation initiatives, and ensure our applications meet stringent quality, regulatory, and security standards required in the financial sector. This is a permanent position based in Gurgaon, Sector-44. Key Responsibilities Lead Quality Assurance (QA) efforts across multiple concurrent banking projects and application teams. Define, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Manage, mentor, and lead a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and conducting performance evaluations. Ensure the timely delivery of QA milestones and manage resource allocation effectively within the team. Coordinate with developers, Business Analysts (BAs), Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements, smooth testing cycles, and effective communication of QA status and risks. Ensure that all testing processes and application functionalities comply with regulatory and security standards applicable to the banking domain. Drive automation initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks, and overseeing the development and maintenance of automated test suites. Lead or support performance testing efforts as needed, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring applications meet performance requirements. Monitor and report on key QA metrics and project status to stakeholders. Oversee test execution cycles (manual and automated) and ensure thorough defect tracking and management. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing. Required Skills & Experience Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with banking applications and workflows across various areas (e.g., retail banking, corporate banking, digital banking, payment systems, core banking). Expertise in both manual and automation testing. Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, API automation tools like Rest Assured/Postman, performance testing tools like JMeter, etc.). Extensive experience with testing lifecycle management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, TestRail, or similar). Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). In-depth understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). Proven experience in leading and managing QA teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
