Quality Assurance Intern

Position Overview:

As a QA Intern, you will assist the QA team in executing testing activities for our full-stack web applications, including front-end (React), back-end (Node.js), and AWS cloud services. You will gain hands-on experience in creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and supporting the QA process under the guidance of senior QA team members. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop practical QA skills, understand software testing methodologies, and contribute to high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in QA planning and execution for front-end (React), back-end (Node.js), and cloud services (AWS).
• Support creation and execution of test cases, test plans, and test scripts for manual and automated testing (UI, API, DB).
• Help identify, log, and track defects, and verify fixes under the guidance of senior QA team members.
• Participate in root cause analysis of defects and contribute suggestions for improvement.
• Collaborate with developers and project teams to ensure smooth integration and performance.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment verification activities.
• Learn and follow QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Assist in evaluating testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with QA and development teams under supervision.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software QA/testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
• Exposure to manual and automated testing for web applications, APIs, or databases.
• Familiarity with QA/testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, Selenium, Postman, or equivalent.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn QA processes, testing best practices, and collaborate with team members.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud-based applications (AWS/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, or performance testing is a plus.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
