This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 6-8 LPA)

QA Engineer

with 2-3 years of experience in testing modern web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall product quality across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases. This role calls for someone who is passionate about identifying issues before they reach the customer, has a sharp eye for detail, and enjoys collaborating across development, product, and design teams to deliver flawless digital experiences.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for frontend, backend, and API layers
Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify defects, edge cases, and usability issues across platforms
Build and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger to validate endpoints, data accuracy, and authentication workflows
Execute database testing to verify data integrity, perform SQL/NoSQL queries, and validate backend data consistency
Collaborate with developers to perform integration and system testing, ensuring seamless end-to-end performance
Document and track defects using project management tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp) and participate in bug triage sessions
Work with DevOps teams to validate deployment pipelines, environment configurations, and rollback procedures
Continuously improve QA methodologies, automation coverage, and testing efficiency within agile workflows
Uphold a culture of quality and precision, ensuring every release delivers a seamless and reliable experience

What Makes You a Great Fit

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
2-3 years of hands-on QA experience with web and mobile applications
Strong expertise in API testing and automation using modern testing tools
Good understanding of frontend validation, UI/UX testing, and cross-browser compatibility
Proficiency in backend and database testing, with the ability to write and optimize queries
Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Exposure to performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Locust) is an added advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams
A proactive mindset with ownership, curiosity, and a passion for delivering flawless digital experiences
