At Simplify Money, we're dedicated to enhancing financial management through our mobile application. We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer for a 3-6 month contract who will be pivotal in maintaining the quality and reliability of the Simplify Money mobile app while leading our QA initiatives. In this role, quality assurance is your domain to ensure excellence.

Role Overview:

You will spearhead our quality assurance efforts for the Simplify Money mobile application, focusing primarily on comprehensive manual testing while mentoring junior team members. Your expertise will drive our QA strategy from planning to execution, ensuring our app meets the highest standards of performance, usability, and user experience. You'll serve as the quality gatekeeper, making critical go/no-go decisions for releases.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Manual Testing Initiatives:

  Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for user stories and epics, executing thorough manual testing across iOS and Android platforms.

• Own the Quality Gate:

  Serve as the final authority on release readiness, making informed decisions on product quality and user experience standards.

• Mentor Junior QA Team Members:

  Guide and develop junior QA engineers, sharing best practices, reviewing their work, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.

• Expand Test Coverage:

  Systematically increase test coverage across all app features, identifying gaps and implementing comprehensive testing strategies.

• Test Case Development & Maintenance:

  Create, maintain, and optimize our test case repository, ensuring documentation is current and comprehensive.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

  Work closely with product, development, and design teams to understand requirements and ensure quality is built into every feature.

• Quality Strategy Implementation:

  Develop and execute robust QA processes, documenting outcomes, metrics, and continuous improvement recommendations.

• User Experience Focus:

  Conduct usability testing and user journey validation to ensure optimal Gen Z user experience.

Requirements:

• Proven 3-6 years experience in mobile app manual testing, particularly iOS and Android applications.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with experience guiding junior team members.
• Expertise in test case design, test planning, and coverage analysis.
• Experience with testing financial/fintech applications is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective bug identification and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of mobile testing tools and methodologies.
• Basic automation testing knowledge (Appium, Selenium) is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented mindset with passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
