Job Overview:

We are seeking a QA Compliance Specialist to lead our quality governance efforts and ensure that our product development processes consistently meet defined standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. This role focuses on establishing processes, writing SOPs, enforcing compliance, and driving a culture of quality across the startup which deals primarily in creating products catered to life sciences industry.

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Process Definition & Documentation

·       Create, implement, and maintain SOPs, quality guidelines, and compliance frameworks.

·       Ensure documentation is clear, practical, and adopted by all stakeholders.

·       Regularly audit and update processes for evolving product and compliance needs.

Compliance & Governance

·       Monitor adherence to QA processes and enforce compliance across teams.

·       Establish checklists, audit trails, and compliance reviews.

·       Drive initiatives like Defect RCA, Release Sign Offs, and Continuous Compliance Checks.

·       Align QA processes with industry regulations/standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, as applicable).

Leadership & Team Ownership

·       Build and lead a high-performing QA compliance team based on organizational needs.

·       Take full ownership of deliverables, ensuring the team is self-sustaining and proactive.

·       Mentor and enable team members to scale QA compliance initiatives independently.

Cross-Team Enablement

·       Enable various teams to embed compliance early in the development cycle.

·       Train and guide teams on following QA processes and compliance requirements.

·       Act as the point of escalation for process deviations and compliance issues.

Quality Assurance Support

·       Support QA team in test governance, documentation, and reporting.

·       Define quality metrics and dashboards to track adherence and outcomes.

·       Provide oversight during release cycles to ensure compliance is not compromised.


Requirements:

·       7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance, or Process Governance.

·       Proven ability to set up and enforce QA processes in a product-based IT/startup environment.

·       Strong skills in writing and implementing SOPs.

·       Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/DevOps practices and their compliance implications.

·       Experience in audits, compliance reviews, and release governance.

·       Strong communication and influencing skills to drive process adoption.

·       Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to balance practicality vs. compliance rigor.


Nice to Have:

·       Exposure to pharma industry

·       Experience with ISO, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar compliance frameworks.
