We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QSH&E Manager to lead the implementation and oversight of an integrated Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental (QSH&E) management system in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22000 standards. The role ensures high standards of product quality, food safety, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability across our confectionery operations. Key responsibilities include providing expert guidance to senior management, leading audits, conducting risk assessments, managing incident investigations, and delivering training to promote a strong safety and quality culture. This role is essential in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting consistent product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. QSH& E System implementation

▪ Ensure full compliance with applicable food safety, quality,environmental, occupational health and safety regulations,including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22000 standards.

▪ Continuously review and evaluate regulatory updates and take necessary decisions and actions to ensure the factory remains compliant at all times.

▪ Provide ongoing support and effectively utilize available resources to implement and maintain systems related to quality, food safety, environmental sustainability, and social ethics, in line with corporate sustainability goals and certification requirements.

▪ Establish and oversee QSH&E systems and control plans to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality and safe products that meet all legal and regulatory standards.

▪ Design and implement crisis management systems to support leadership in effectively responding to emergencies and risk situations.Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement appropriate mitigation and prevention measures.

▪ Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs to enhance employee understanding and compliance with QSH&E policies, procedures, and best practices.

  2. ▪ Having Technical knowledge of the QSHE requirements ofFMCG products to support the development and implementation of the best practices.
  3. ▪ Build strategies and provide a roadmap for continuous
  4. ▪ Provide education and expert advice on QSH&E matters to factory teams and Directors, ensuring management is well- informed about challenges, improvements, and regulatory requirements related to products and operational methods.
  5. ▪ Initiating proposals and seeking support for implementation of proposals resulting in improvements in product quality,GMP and QMS & SHE.
  6. ▪ Develops and oversees the implementation of QHS&E tools and management systems based on a deep understanding of benchmarks, industry standards, regulations and SOPs.
  7. ▪ Coordinates with cross-functional teams/departments to attain buy-in for adoption of new systems, improvement of existing systems by communicating the strategic benefits to the Company
  8. ▪ Coordinates across functions/departments to ensure quality systems and procedures are embedded in areas of supply chain, production, and sales and marketing.
  9. Departmental Leadership & Management

  10. ▪ Assign clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilitiesacross the department to ensure clarity and operational
  11. ▪ Ensure optimal numerical and qualitative staffing of the department in alignment with operational goals and policies,
  12. enabling effective resource utilization and performance.
  13. ▪ Engage in regular communication and interaction with team members to foster strong working relationships and open
  14. dialogue.
  15. ▪ Promote a positive work culture by encouraging, supporting, and motivating employees.
  16. ▪ Develop the department’s annual budget and oversee its effective utilization.
  17. ▪ Ensure all data related to raw materials, recipes, and products is accurately documented and maintained in a reliable, up-to-date database.
  18. ▪ Monitor departmental performance and drive continuous improvement through performance reviews, coaching, and
  19. guidance.
  20. ▪ Create opportunities for team learning and professional development, including sharing best practices, providing
  21. strategic updates, and encouraging knowledge exchange.
  22. Quality Improvement & Operational Excellence

  23. ▪ Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysisand CAPA.
  24. ▪ Handle customer complaints and implement corrective actions
  25. ▪ Managing improvement QSH&E projects and supporting development projects.
  26. ▪ Act as bridge between Business requirements and their implementation at shop floor.
  27. ▪ Ensure that the system and practices are in place which leads to effective utilization of time and resources.
  28. ▪ Leading projects to implementation of good manufacturing
  29. ▪ Proposes value-adding projects that lead to cost savings and quality & safety improvements
  30. ▪ Overseas and approves responses to customer complaints from a quality standpoint based on technical expertise and
  31. understanding/knowledge of products.
  32. Supplier Quality Management & Development

  33. ▪ To develop & coordinate with RM & PM Supplier to adhere toGFSI standards & Local regulation.
  34. ▪ Conducting Supplier Audit & Supplier performance evaluation with respect to quality standards and development
  35. of Risk mitigation plan.
  36. ▪ Providing input to management on the quality of materials sourced and propose action plan for RM & PM Quality
  37. ▪ Coordinates with suppliers to obtain information on new innovations, technologies and techniques leading to adoption
  38. in manufacturing processes
  39. Product Formulation Compliance & Support

  40. ▪ Collaborate with R&D and production teams to review andapprove product formulations, ensuring alignment with
  41. quality standards, regulatory requirements, and food safetyguidelines.
  42. ▪ Provide oversight and quality assurance input on formulations to ensure raw materials and recipes meet
  43. internal standards and comply with local and international regulations.
  44. ▪ Support the development and refinement of formulations to enhance product quality, shelf life, and safety, while
  45. maintaining compliance with ISO standards and statutory food safety requirements.
  46. ▪ Participate in cross-functional product development reviews to ensure all new or modified formulations are validated from
  47. a QSH&E perspective before release to market.
