QMS Compliance Engineer

Summary:

AS9100D

Key Responsibilities:

1. QMS Implementation & Maintenance

• Maintain and improve the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) per

  AS9100D

  and

  ISO 9001:2015

  standards.
• Ensure process compliance across design, manufacturing, and support functions.
• Develop and update QMS documentation including manuals, procedures, and process maps.

1. Internal Audits & Compliance

• Plan, schedule, and conduct

  internal audits

  to assess compliance with AS9100D requirements.
• Prepare audit reports, track nonconformities, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate and support

  external audits

  (customer, registrar, or regulatory).

1. Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Monitor and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvements.

1. Document Control & Configuration Management

• Manage QMS documentation through a controlled document management system.
• Ensure revision control, approval, and distribution of controlled documents.
• Maintain configuration records as per AS9100D clause 8.1.2.

1. Supplier & Process Compliance

• Support

  supplier evaluation and performance monitoring

  per AS9100D Clause 8.4.
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards and documentation requirements.

1. Training & Awareness

• Conduct QMS awareness training for employees to promote a quality-first culture.
• Ensure staff understanding of their roles in maintaining AS9100D compliance.

1. Performance Monitoring

• Maintain and report

  quality KPIs

  , including audit results, NCRs, OTD, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify trends and propose continual improvement actions.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvement initiatives using tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, and PDCA.
• Support risk management and operational risk assessment activities per Clause 6.1.

• Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline.
• Minimum

  5 years

  of experience in a quality or compliance role within the

  aerospace industry

  .
• In-depth knowledge of

  AS9100D

  and

  ISO 9001:2015

  standards.
• Experience with

  internal auditing

  and

  document control systems

  .
• Proficiency in

  MS Office

  and

  QMS software tools

  .
• Certification as

  AS9100 Internal Auditor

  or

  Lead Auditor

  preferred.
