QA/QC Engineer (Civil)

Job Description: QA/QC Engineer – High-Rise Buildings

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Joining Date: 15th April, 2025
Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years
Preferred Candidate: Local candidate from Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and implementation of QA/QC policies and procedure. o Carry out audits for ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 etc. recommend the necessary corrective and actions and reassures.
• Aware of all QA / QC testing procedures and requirements of construction materials, quality strength, check the quality of civil work carried out by the civil contractor, make proper QC reports, and ensure remedial measures are taken by the contractor.
• Monitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required.
• Assist the Project/Construction Managers in reviewing the Client’s/Contractor’s specific quality plans and produce recommendations.
• Candidate shall provide daily and weekly Quality dashboards as Project Quality Tracking reports based on that root cause analysis to Mitigate the repetitive mistakes and improve on Quality of Project.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution for QA or QC issues, in coordination with Project Manager/Construction Manager/Consultant/Department Head.
• Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON and OFF site.
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensure activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
• Coordinate with contractor’s/Client’s representative and Site Engineer in charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non- Compliance Report.
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance Report.
• Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction.
• Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, through knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
• Develop method statements for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environment analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
• Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP.
• Liaise with Contractors/Clients Quality Engineer for submission of materials submittals to Consultant.
• All Quality inspections must be performed or approved through digiQC (Digital Quality Control) Mobile App & Web Version of the app.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification in QA/QC, ISO 9001, or relevant quality management systems (preferred).
• Additional training in non-destructive testing (NDT) or construction materials testing is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer in construction, infrastructure, or project management.
• Proven experience with quality assurance in civil, structural, and finishing works.
• Familiarity with project handover documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, etc.).
• Preferred: Local candidate from Ahmedabad.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, ISO standards, and construction quality codes (IS, ASTM, ACI, BS, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
• Hands-on experience in material testing, mix designs, and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus
