Job Title: QC Engineer – Fabrication
Location: Thane, Maharashtra

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

About Us:

We are a reputed organisation in the Oil & Gas and EPC sector, specialising in fabrication of Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, and other Static Equipment. Our projects are executed with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance with international codes and standards. We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer who will ensure fabrication activities meet stringent quality requirements and customer specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Carry out inspection of fabrication and welding activities for Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, and Static Equipment.
• Verify material certificates, traceability, and ensure compliance with approved QAP/ITP.
• Conduct stage-wise inspection including fit-up, welding, dimensional checks, hydrotesting, and final inspection.
• Monitor NDT activities (RT, UT, MPI, DP) and review reports.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, IS, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare and maintain QC documents – inspection reports, NCRs, WPS/PQR/WQT records, and material test certificates.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors, clients, and internal teams for inspection and approvals.
• Support QA team in audits, documentation, and certification processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety, PTW, and PPE guidelines during inspections.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and inspection of Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, and Static Equipment.
• Familiarity with NDT methods and welding procedures (WPS, PQR, WQT).
• Good understanding of ASME Sec VIII, API 650/620, IS codes, and relevant fabrication standards.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, P&IDs, and QA/QC documents.
• Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

Eligibility / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in fabrication of Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, or Static Equipment.
• Certification in welding inspection / NDT Level II is mandatory
• Hands-on experience in EPC / Oil & Gas fabrication workshops preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
