Job Description

Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical documentation to develop a clear understanding of the scope.
Design, create, and execute detailed and structured manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
Perform various types of testing, including:Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, Exploratory Testing
Identify, log, and track bugs using standard defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
Collaborate with developers, UI/UX teams, and product managers to resolve issues effectively and improve product quality.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Assist in maintaining QA documentation and version control of test artifacts.
Coordinate with automation testers and, where applicable, contribute to or create basic automation scripts.
Conduct basic database validations using SQL and perform API testing using tools like Postman.

Requirements

Sound understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Experience in writing comprehensive test cases, identifying critical bugs, and maintaining QA documentation.
Proficient with defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Mantis).
Familiarity with SQL for basic backend testing and data validation.
Working knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Appium, etc. is a plus.
