We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality mobile and web applications. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, including both manual and automated testing, to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of software solutions. You will work across multiple platforms, including mobile (iOS and Android), web, and API services, while collaborating closely with development and business teams. This position offers the opportunity to lead automation efforts, contribute to process improvements, and implement best practices in quality assurance. Accountabilities
- Define and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for mobile, web, and API applications
- Perform unit, integration, functional, regression, and system testing to ensure software quality
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, Selenium, Python, and other frameworks
- Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and business stakeholders to establish test scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Lead bug triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution processes to ensure timely issue management
- Monitor and report key quality metrics, including defect counts, automation coverage, and product readiness
- Provide technical leadership in QA best practices, driving large-scale, cross-functional testing initiatives
- Conduct code reviews, test case reviews, and maintain requirements traceability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field
- 4-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably with mobile and retail domain applications
- Hands-on experience with Python, Appium, Selenium, PyTest, BDD/TDD frameworks, and automation tools for Web and API testing
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, and front-end/back-end testing
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as SauceLabs, BrowserStack, or equivalents
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and version control systems (Git, GitHub)
- Experience with Agile development practices, Scrum, and test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or HP ALM
- Proficiency with database testing using SQL/Oracle
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
