QA Engineer

India
.In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of mobile and web applications by designing, executing, and maintaining test strategies and automation frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate requirements, identify risks, and provide actionable feedback throughout the development lifecycle. With strong expertise in Appium, Python, and automation best practices, you will help deliver high-quality solutions in retail and other domains. Accountabilities:
As a QA Engineer, your main responsibilities include:
- Defining and executing test strategies, plans, and test scripts for mobile and web applications
- Performing unit, integration, functional, regression, automation, and system testing
- Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Appium, Selenium, and Python
- Managing defects, conducting root cause analysis, and proactively identifying risks
- Ensuring requirements traceability and conducting test case reviews
- Collaborating with business and development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Providing technical leadership and implementing QA best practices across projects
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 4-8 years of QA experience, with a focus on mobile application testing
- Strong expertise in Appium, Python, Selenium, PyTest, and BDD frameworks
- Experience with Android/iOS emulators and simulators
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools (e.g., SauceLabs, BrowserStack)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent
- Knowledge of front-end and back-end testing, including web services, microservices, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Postman, and SOAPUI
- Experience with SQL/Oracle databases and version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub)
- 2+ years of experience in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or HP ALM
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
