The engineering, product, and program roles will support multiple delivery teams across BT- SCSS & GTM. This contractor will support the Skytree/Salesforce team, focusing on optimizing lead processes to enhance sales effectiveness. /// DELIVERABLES: •Skytree •Lead Exchange •Lead Management •Lead Eligibility •Routing •Sales Segmentation

Project Skytree is Indeed’s companywide Salesforce re‑implementation, standing up a new Salesforce org aligned to modern GTM processes and simplifying operations. It underpins revenue growth goals and deprecates the legacy Salesforce instance. Goals include enabling revenue growth to FY28 targets, improving CRM capabilities, boosting productivity via automation, and reducing customizations to support scalable GTM strategies.

Summary of Required Skillset: Python/Data Tech Lead

The ideal candidate is a senior software engineer with over 7 years of experience, specializing in cloud-native solutions for high-availability, low-latency, and parallelized back-end applications, primarily using Python. This role requires a strong background as an architect developing cloud applications

REQUIRED Technical Skills

Languages and Frameworks: Expert proficiency in Python, along with experience in frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI

Cloud and Platforms (AWS/GCP Focus): Extensive experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker. The ability to develop cloud microservices based on Python APIs and backed by a full Kubernetes infrastructure for high availability and interoperability with cloud-native services is essential

Databases and Messaging: Experience with various DBMS, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, CosmosDB, and messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and PubSub

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD: Proficient in GIT, Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm for SCM and provisioning infrastructure

Serverless/Cloud Services: Experience with serverless computing such as AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions

REQUIRED: Methodologies and Architecture

Architecture: Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles. Must be able to design modern multi-cloud architectures

Methodologies: Proficient in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban

Experience:

Experience: A minimum of 7+ years in the software engineering field. Relevant professional experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer for a major professional services network (PwC), and as a Senior Software Architect, particularly within the fintech industry, focusing on real-time financial analysis systems. Experience in IT consulting and services is also relevant

Teaching/Mentoring (Optional but beneficial): Experience teaching advanced topics like Python, Statistics, Spark, Hadoop, and Distributed Systems, as well as working on data science projects (parallel and distributed data processing)

Nice to Have (big plus)

Data and ETL: Expertise in ETL processes and technologies like Spark and AWS Kinesis. Experience building event-driven, serverless architectures to achieve near-zero latency for data serving. Knowledge of TimeScaleDB for handling historical data is a plus
