Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Material Procurement: Source and procure raw materials like steel, aluminum, welding rods, paints, and other consumables required for fabrication. Ensure materials meet the quality and specification standards of the company. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and regularly review vendor performance. Cost Management: Conduct market research to determine competitive pricing and control procurement costs. Prepare cost analysis and reports for budget planning. Inventory Control: Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Ensure timely replenishment of materials to avoid production delays. Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with legal and company standards in agreements. Quality Assurance: Coordinate with the quality control team to verify the quality of purchased goods. Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly. Logistics Coordination: Plan and monitor the transportation and delivery of purchased goods. Resolve logistics and delivery issues effectively. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and invoices. Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and legal regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with production, planning, and engineering teams to understand procurement needs. Provide feedback on material availability and delivery schedules. Key Skills and Competencies: Technical Knowledge: Understanding of fabrication materials and processes. Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate prices and contracts effectively. Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance. Attention to Detail: Ensuring materials meet specifications and are of the required quality. Communication Skills: Effective coordination and communication with vendors and internal teams. Time Management: Prioritize tasks to ensure timely procurement and delivery. Qualifications: Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree ,Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years of procurement experience in the fabrication or manufacturing sector. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally Prime Gold, MS Office Suite, and inventory management tools.
