Purchase Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential for the company’s operations. The ideal candidate will manage vendor relations, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising on quality or timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and policies.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of materials.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and comparative statements.
• Coordinate with accounts, store, and project teams to ensure accurate inventory and smooth operations.
• Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
• Maintain proper documentation for all purchases and supplier agreements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and statutory requirements.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 to 7 years managerial role of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and purchase management tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Added Advantage:

• Experience in technical procurement (Electrical / Solar ).
• Knowledge of inventory control and logistics management systems.
