Roles and Responsibilities

Supplier and vendor management:
Source, negotiate with, and build strong, lasting relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and quality products.
Inventory and cost control:
Monitor inventory levels, analyze market trends, and develop strategies to optimize stock and reduce carrying costs.
Procurement execution:
Manage the purchasing process, from placing purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery and verifying invoice accuracy.
Strategic planning:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies and business plans that align with the hotel's objectives, often focusing on cost savings and efficiency.
Internal collaboration:
Work with various hotel departments (e.g., F&B, housekeeping) to understand their specific purchasing needs and ensure their requirements are met.
Compliance and reporting:
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies, and prepare reports on procurement performance and cost savings for management.
Team management:
Guide and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of performance and growth.

Experience:
Proven experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is essential, with experience in the hospitality sector being a significant advantage.
