Job Description

Head – Purchase (Casting Components)


Vandewiele Savio India Private Limited

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead sourcing and procurement of

    casting components

    (PAC, GAC, Cast Iron).
  • Manage supplier identification, evaluation, and development for

    Grey Iron Casting, Pressure Die Casting (PDC), and Gravity Die Casting (GDC)

    .
  • Drive

    cost optimization, commercial negotiations, and VA/VE initiatives

    .
  • Ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules through

    Infor ERP (or similar MRP systems)

    .
  • Collaborate with

    Design, Quality, Production, and Finance teams

    to resolve supplier quality/delivery issues.
  • Build and maintain supplier databases, performance metrics, and improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with

    ISO standards, audits, and documentation

    .
  • Support strategic sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives.


What We’re Looking For


  • B.E / M.E. in Mechanical Engineering

    or related field.

  • 12+ years’ experience

    in procurement/sourcing in the manufacturing/engineering industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of casting manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on expertise in

    costing, vendor development, and quality systems

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Office and ERP systems (preferably Infor)

    .
  • Excellent

    negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills

    .
  • Ability to lead with urgency, critical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier/vendor development.
