About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer/ Purchaser to join our dynamic team. This role oversees the entire procurement process of marine-related products and services, for a seamless supply chain, ensuring high standards of quality and establishing strategies to optimize cost, supply security and service in the short and long term.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors like price, quality, reliability, environmental impact, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility

• Negotiate and execute contracts of various supplies (provisions stores etc..) based on order requirements • Negotiate terms of purchase, from price to quantities needed, delivery timelines and logistics to payment terms

• Monitor supplier performance

• Investigate and implement approved cost reduction opportunities. These initiatives would include consolidation of suppliers and competitive quotations for alternate suppliers and many more

• Responsible of overall contract management compliance process

• Responsible for Supply Pricing Lists and Vendor Pricing records in the database

• Determine potential clients for company profit/growth, review requisitions/ purchase orders and related documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with department procedures and requirements

• Monitor freight in costs and identify opportunities for cost reductions, along with timely communication of changes in prices

• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers to ensure competitive and innovative procurement solutions

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet order deadlines, by coordinating with other departments

• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

• Perform other tasks or jobs as need or required

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar field from a well-known university

• 2-3 years of experience in export house purchasing in B2B structure

• Proven track record of developing and executing profitable contracts for company

• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Knowledge of market research, vendor recruiting & data analysis

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management

• Adaptability and excellent time management skills

• Ability to handle multiple contracts with strong management skills

• Ability to work autonomously and with little direction in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Location & Working hrs:

• Permanent full-time role at our Gurgaon office

• Monday- Saturday (Alternate Saturdays off)

• 10am-6pm (needs to be available even after working hrs as per urgency)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
