Position Overview

We are seeking a Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for EV workbench manufacturing. The role involves sourcing, vendor development, negotiation, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of quality materials, components, and equipment required for production and R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for EV components, mechanical parts, electrical systems, and raw materials.
• Coordinate with design, R&D, and production teams to understand technical specifications and material requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor details, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse for material availability.
• Resolve vendor-related issues such as delays, quality concerns, or payment disputes.
• Support cost reduction initiatives, vendor performance evaluations, and alternate sourcing strategies.
• Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and technologies in EV manufacturing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile Engineering (or related field).
• 0–2 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in manufacturing or EV/automobile sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain practices.
• Familiarity with EV components, electrical systems, and mechanical fabrication materials.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP tools, and documentation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary Range: 15k to 22k per month
