The Role


Purchase


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage sourcing and procurement of pharmaceutical intermediates and raw materials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply and quality.
  • Drive value-focused procurement strategies balancing cost, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory changes to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure a robust, compliant, and efficient supply chain that supports uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement with operational goals.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations and support vendor development initiatives.
  • Ensure quality compliances and documentation related to procurement of materials including vendor qualification.
  • Maintain and update purchase records, contracts, and related documents to ensure audit readiness.


Skills and Knowledge


  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and API manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a business-minded approach to procurement.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive in market research and supplier evaluation to support strategic procurement decisions.
