Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Assistant Location: SG Highway Department: Purchase / Procurement Reports To: Purchase Manager / Head of Procurement Experience Required: 1–3 years (Freshers with strong interest in procurement may also apply) Industry Preference: Pharmaceuticals / FMCG / Manufacturing Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies based on company needs Collect quotations, compare pricing, and assist in vendor negotiations for cost-effective procurement Maintain and update vendor database with pricing, lead-times, and delivery terms Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper documentation Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays or quality Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure timely vendor payments Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders when needed Assist with regular vendor evaluations, focusing on quality and reliability Maintain accurate records of purchases and ensure compliance with company policies Support the Purchase Manager in daily procurement operations and reporting Key Skills Required Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (Tally/SAP preferred) Excellent negotiation and communication skills High attention to detail and organisational abilities Educational Qualifications Graduate in Commerce / Business Administration / Supply Chain or related fields Diploma/Certification in Material Management or Procurement (preferred, not mandatory)
