Job Title: RFP Proposal Writer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented RFP Proposal Writer to join our Business Development team. This role will focus on creating clear, compelling, and client-focused proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming complex technical and business information into persuasive narratives that highlight organizational strengths, compliance, and value propositions.
Key Responsibilities
RFP Analysis & Strategy
Review RFP/RFI documents to interpret client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
Participate in strategy discussions to develop win themes and positioning strategies.
Proposal Writing & Content Development
Write, edit, and format proposal content that is concise, persuasive, and tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate technical input into compelling language.
Customize responses to highlight organizational differentiators and competitive advantages.
Document Management & Compliance
Ensure proposals meet all compliance, formatting, and submission requirements.
Maintain a library of templates, boilerplate content, and past submissions for reuse.
Collaboration & Coordination
Partner with sales, finance, legal, and technical teams to gather inputs and approvals.
Manage internal reviews and revisions to deliver polished, client-ready proposals.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, tone, and consistency.
Incorporate reviewer feedback and refine processes for ongoing improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in RFP/RFI/RFQ proposal writing, preferably within IT, consulting, or professional services.
Strong understanding of proposal processes, including IDIQ task orders and FAR compliance.
Excellent ability to write technical and non-technical content persuasively.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with document collaboration and design tools (e.g., InDesign, Canva, MS Visio) is a plus.
Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
