As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a Proposal Engineer who can ensure accurate, timely and technically-sound proposal preparation, and coordinate across internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.

The Role

A Proposal Engineer plays a central role in the back-end sales process — from preparing quotations to coordinating order execution.
This role requires:

• Technical understanding of high-pressure pump systems
• Strong coordination ability across departments
• Meticulous proposal preparation & documentation skills
• Structured follow-up discipline with customers and internal teams

You will work closely with Sales, Design, Purchase, PPC, Production, Dispatch, Service, and Accounts to ensure accurate costing, timely order booking, and smooth delivery execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quotation & Proposal Preparation

• Prepare and share quotations based on Enquiry Analysis submitted by Sales Engineer.
• Coordinate with Design & Costing teams for pricing and customized solutions.
• Share Proforma Invoice for advance or full payment.

2. Order Booking & Documentation

• Finalize Bill of Material with Design.
• Book orders accurately in Oracle ERP and maintain customer order records.
• Resolve customer queries related to order confirmation and specs.

3. Internal Coordination for Order Execution

• Coordinate with PPC & Production for manufacturing/assembly timelines.
• Align with Purchase & Stores for special components.
• Work with Dispatch & Service to ensure readiness before shipment.

4. Customer Coordination & Payment Follow-up

• Communicate order status, dispatch timelines, and documentation requirements.
• Follow up for payments as per agreed terms.

5. Reporting & MIS

• Update CRM / Enquiry Register daily.
• Prepare Weekly & Monthly Order Booking and Status Reports.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Understanding of plunger pumps, accessories & industrial applications
• Ability to read technical specifications
• Working knowledge of ERP (Oracle preferred) & MS Excel

Behavioral Skills

• Strong written & verbal communication
• Effective coordination & follow-up discipline
• Analytical thinking & problem-solving attitude
• Customer empathy and ownership mindset

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred
• 0–2 years of experience in industrial / capital equipment sales support
• Freshers with strong communication & technical aptitude are welcome
