Role Overview

The Project Manager – Solar is responsible for planning, executing, and completing solar power projects (Rooftop / Ground Mounted) within budget, timeline, and quality standards. The role involves coordination with clients, vendors, on-site teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility analysis, and load assessment.
• Ensure design compliance with MNRE, state guidelines, and industry standards.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Oversee project execution end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery.

2. Team & Vendor Coordination

• Manage site engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Coordinate with vendors for modules, inverters, structures, and BOS procurement.
• Ensure resource allocation, manpower planning, and daily progress monitoring.

3. Client Management

• Act as a single point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates, handle queries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct site visits and review meetings with clients.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure installation work meets technical specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct quality checks and audits during execution.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, net-metering processes, and DISCOM approvals.

5. Budget & Documentation

• Monitor project budgets, cost control, and material utilization.
• Prepare project documentation, drawings, DPRs, and handover reports.
• Handle billing, work measurement, and project closure documentation.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• 4–10 years of experience in solar project execution (Rooftop / Ground Mounted).
• Strong knowledge of solar system design, modules, inverters, and electrical installations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera (preferred).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
