Job Description

Reports To: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Sales & Specification

  • Promote construction materials to consultants, contractors, architects, and developers.
  • Deliver technical presentations and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Influence project specifications and secure product approvals in tender documents.
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and submittals.

2. Project Tracking & Management

  • Track ongoing and upcoming residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
  • Engage with project teams to understand material requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and installation support.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure correct application and resolve technical or installation issues.

3. Customer Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including:
    • Consultants & architects
    • Main and subcontractors
    • Developers & project managers
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
  • Handle customer inquiries, negotiate terms, and close sales effectively.

4. Market Research & Strategy

  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
  • Identify new business segments and potential product applications.
  • Provide market feedback to management to support strategic decisions on product positioning, pricing, and marketing.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical datasheets, compliance documents, and sample submissions.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and activity reports.
  • Support the preparation of tender packages and project-related documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials such as:
    • Concrete admixtures, waterproofing, insulation, sealants
    • Steel, doors/windows, coatings, aggregates, or other specialty materials
  • Solid knowledge of construction processes, drawings, specifications, and site practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM/ERP systems is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in technical sales or project engineering within the construction materials industry.
  • Established network with contractors, consultants, and developers.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing product specifications in projects.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
