Inventory & Documentation Coordinate with stockyards to ensure proper stock availability and correct material picking as per orders. Verify dispatch documents (invoices, e-way bills, packing lists, export documents, etc.) for accuracy. Ensure compliance with GST, customs, and other statutory requirements. Implement systems for monitoring material movements and reduce discrepancies. 3. Vendor & Cost Management Develop and maintain relationships with transporters, CHA, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners. Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service-level agreements to reduce logistics costs. Track logistics expenses and ensure cost control without compromising service quality. 4. Process & Compliance Standardize and implement SOPs for loading, unloading, packaging, and dispatch of marble. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety norms, and legal regulations. Minimize transit damages, pilferage, and losses through proper process monitoring. 5. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and mentor logistics executives, supervisors, and dispatch coordinators. Work closely with sales, accounts, and production teams to align dispatches with customer priorities. Provide timely MIS and reports to management on dispatch status, freight costs, and logistics performance. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of logistics operations in building materials / stone / marble / granite industry . Familiarity with domestic and export logistics , including container shipments and customs clearance. Good negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and logistics tracking software. Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle large-scale operations. Qualifications & Experience Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred). 8-10 years of experience in logistics, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role. Experience in marble, granite, ceramics, tiles, or building materials industry highly preferred. Knowledge of transportation laws, GST, e-way bills, and export-import regulations . KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) On-time delivery % (Domestic & Export). Logistics cost per ton / per slab/ per sq. feet.. Reduction in transit damages & claims. Accuracy in dispatch & documentation. Vendor performance & cost savings achieved. Team productivity and process compliance.
