Project Engineer

Role Overview

The Industrial Project Engineer will oversee technical planning, design coordination, and project execution for industrial facilities and systems. This role requires a mix of engineering knowledge, project management skills, and on-site coordination to ensure projects meet operational, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee installation and optimization of industrial systems, machinery, and processes
• Collaborate with design teams, vendors, contractors, and internal departments to define project scope and specifications
• Prepare and review technical drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and engineering documentation
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery
• Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Track progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Support commissioning and handover processes, including testing and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or a related discipline)
• 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Solid knowledge of engineering principles, construction processes, and industrial systems
• Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Gantt Charts, MS Project, or Primavera)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification is an asset
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and industrial safety standards
