Production Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Production Manager to oversee and drive manufacturing operations in our soft toys, textile, and apparel unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless production flow, high-quality output, timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization across the plant floor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Develop daily/weekly production plans based on sales forecasts and order commitments.
• Ensure timely execution of production schedules with effective workforce and resource management.
• Balance workflow to avoid bottlenecks and production delays.

2. Floor Supervision & Operations

• Manage daily floor operations across stitching, cutting, stuffing, finishing, and packing sections.
• Monitor operator efficiency, machine utilization, and production output.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and productivity benchmarks.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Maintain stringent quality standards throughout the production process.
• Identify and address defects or quality issues with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, labor laws, and industry best practices.

4. Material & Inventory Control

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
• Coordinate with the purchase and store departments to ensure material availability.
• Minimize wastage and control fabric/yarn consumption effectively.

5. Team Leadership & Training

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, operators, and helpers.
• Ensure workforce discipline, safety, and performance.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain detailed production records, daily reports, and MIS data.
• Track KPIs like output per day, rejection rate, downtime, and order status.
• Report progress and issues to senior management regularly.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong experience in soft toy manufacturing and/or garment production.
• Sound knowledge of stitching, cutting, embroidery, stuffing, and finishing processes.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with production planning, line balancing, and quality control.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of production software is a plus.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production supervisory or managerial role in a relevant industry.
• Prior experience in soft toy production will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
