Production Manager

Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling garment production processes to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, cost efficiency, and optimal utilization of manpower and machinery. The role ensures smooth workflow from cutting to finishing while meeting buyer and company standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Control

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per order requirements
• Allocate manpower, machines, and materials efficiently
• Monitor production output and take corrective actions to meet targets

Line & Floor Management

• Supervise cutting, sewing, washing (if applicable), and finishing operations
• Balance production lines to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
• Implement productivity improvement techniques (SMV, line balancing, IE tools)

Quality Assurance

• Ensure garments meet buyer quality standards and specifications
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework
• Implement quality control systems at all production stages

Cost & Efficiency Control

• Control production costs, wastage, and downtime
• Improve labor productivity and machine efficiency
• Ensure achievement of target efficiencies and cost benchmarks

Manpower Management

• Lead, train, and motivate supervisors, line leaders, and operators
• Ensure proper attendance, discipline, and skill utilization
• Identify training needs and support skill development initiatives

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Purchase, Planning, and Maintenance teams
• Ensure availability of materials, trims, and accessories for uninterrupted production
• Communicate production status and challenges to management

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory safety, and social compliance standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment (5S)

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily production reports, efficiency reports, and KPI dashboards
• Use ERP / production management systems for tracking and reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,549.28 - ₹32,368.21 per month
