Role Overview

Production Manager/Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Plan, manage, and monitor day-to-day management of the production process which involved conversion of raw ingredients to dehydrated form.
• Timely execution of production as per schedule and maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance and procurement teams to ensure resource availability and machinery readiness.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to FSSAI regulations, licensing norms, and hygienic processing standards.
• Implement and manage HACCP guidelines to identify and mitigate food safety hazards across production stages.
• Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., FSSC, BRC, SQF, IFS).

Quality Control

• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure production quality meets defined internal and regulatory standards.
• Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for deviations or non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

Equipment & Process Optimization

• Monitor the performance and maintenance of meat processing equipment.
• Support in developing SOPs for new equipment and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce wastage, downtime, and increase efficiency.

Team Coordination & Reporting

• Assist in supervising production staff, promoting safe work culture, and ensuring shift discipline.
• Report daily production status, deviations, and compliance issues to the Production Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field. Specialization in food processing, food safety, or meat technology is preferred.
