Production Manager

he Production Manager oversees all aspects of the manufacturing process for ceramic foam filters and slurry sleeves for foundry, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of processing, production management, and quality control. The manager will be responsible for supervising staff, optimizing production schedules, managing resources, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning and Execution: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and company goals. Oversee daily production activities, ensuring all processes from raw material preparation to final product inspection run smoothly.
• Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including machine operators and technicians. Conduct performance reviews and foster a positive and safe work environment.
• Quality Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures. Monitor production processes to identify and resolve issues that may affect product quality. Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet technical specifications and industry standards.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.
• Resource Management: Manage inventory of raw materials, equipment, and other resources to prevent shortages and minimize downtime. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure a consistent supply chain.
• Health and Safety: Ensure all production activities comply with company safety policies and relevant industry regulations. Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, yield rates, and efficiency. Prepare regular reports for senior management on production performance and progress.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the ceramics, foundry, or a related manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of ceramic processing, firing, and quality control techniques. Familiarity with production management software (e.g., ERP systems) and data analysis tools.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Pay: ₹17,762.96 - ₹45,000.00 per month
