We are looking for a Product Manager to own theintellectual core of our supply chain: the suite of technology products that power our demandand supply planning.This is a high-impact role where you will be the single-threaded owner of the productstrategy and roadmap for all demand and supply planning systems. You will be responsiblefor building and optimizing tools that manage our multi-channel (B2B & B2C) and multi-echelon (Central, Regional, and Local warehouses) inventory network. Your products willdirectly influence key business outcomes like product availability, inventory efficiency, andoperational costs, making a tangible impact on the company's bottom line and customerexperience.Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and articulate a long-term product vision and
strategy for Purplle's entire demand and supply planning tech stack. Create and own
a prioritized roadmap that balances foundational improvements with innovativefeatures.
- Demand Planning Products: Lead the development of systems for statistical
demand forecasting, consensus planning, new product forecasting, and near-term
demand sensing using machine learning and external signals.
- Supply & Inventory Planning Products: Spearhead the creation of tools for
inventory norm calculation (safety stock, reorder points), buying automation,
manufacturing planning, and automated stock transfer orders (STOs) to optimizeinventory across our network.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with business teams (Demand
Planners, Supply Planners, Category Managers, Finance), data scientists, engineers,
and operations heads to gather requirements, define solutions, and ensuresuccessful product adoption.
- Execution & Delivery: Author detailed product requirement documents (PRDs),
create user stories, manage the product backlog, and work with agile development
teams to deliver high-quality products on time.
- KPI Ownership: Define, monitor, and own the key performance indicators for your
product suite, including Forecast Accuracy, On-Shelf Availability (OSA), InventoryHealth (SLOB %), and Cost of Replication.
Desired Skills And Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- 4-7 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focused on
building supply chain, operations, or internal tooling products.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up
assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business
counterparts to deliver complex products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence
stakeholders at all levels.
- Hands-on experience working in an agile development environment.
Preferred Backgrounds & Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Manager within the supply chain,
forecasting, or inventory planning domain at a large-scale e-commerce or
omnichannel retail company.
- A deep understanding of supply chain planning concepts including demand
forecasting, OP, inventory management (safety stock, reorder points), and
network optimization.
- Experience as a Product Manager at a leading B2B SaaS company that
builds and sells supply chain planning software (e.g., Demand Planning,S&OP, Inventory
