We’re on the hunt for a Product Manager who’s ready to turn Dyson’s data lake into a powerhouse of innovation. You’ll take charge of the roadmap, making sure our data lake stays rock-solid, reliable, and efficient—while also spearheading ground-breaking GenAI products that unlock its true potential.
This isn’t just about managing data. It’s about transforming academic content into smart, practical features and insights that delight end consumers. You’ll work together with engineering, data science, sales, and clients, driving ideas from concept to launch and shaping the future of how data fuels discovery. Dyson is CACTUS’s AI Solutions data intelligence project for the academic publishing ecosystem. Using content aggregation pipelines, we aggregate research articles, case studies, conference proceedings, patents and other published content into a single source of truth — the Dyson Lake. Automated Dyson Workers then deduplicate, disambiguate and normalize metadata and full text. Since inception it's catering to upstream products like R-Discovery, Rejection Analyzer, and Ask R-Discovery & RESEARCH feature on Paperpal that has served millions of researchers across the globe.
Job responsibilities:
  • End-to-end product ownership, right from ideation and concepts to product success.
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders to build on the product vision and drive the vision towards reality.
  • Present insights through compelling visualizations and executive summaries to drive decision-making.
  • Conduct competitive and market research to benchmark product and sales performance.
  • Manage and own the product roadmap and develop features that are in line with the vision and goals.
  • Understand local nuances of our data and localize insights and offerings to suit needs of consumers from different geographies.
  • Planning new content acquisition and enrichment strategies.
  • Be the custodian of data and master it understand how it corresponds trends in the scientific world – look at numbers, & dashboards, query the data, ask questions, look for patterns where none appear, talk to stakeholders to validate your assumptions, run experiments.
Qualifications and prerequisites:
  • Strong domain familiarity with the academic publishing ecosystem (Journals, preprints, indexing, OA models, CrossRef/DOI/ORCID/ROR conventions).
  • Passionate about solving problems and making a difference to lives of millions of researchers.
  • A team player with an attitude to get things done and willingness to work in a high-pace environment.
  • Great analytical skills with ability to select and track key metrics, bring out insights from numbers and take decisions based on data.
  • Comfortable writing and running basic to intermediate SQL for exploration and validation.
  • Familiarity with ML/NLP use cases in scholarly content (entity extraction, citation linking, recommendation.
  • Understanding of generative AI models and Prompt engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across sales, operations, and product functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a structured and concise approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work across functions & levels, be comfortable with interacting with senior leadership.
